HAVE YOU EVER EVER THOUGHT ABOUT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FOOTBALL AND YOUR PERSONALITY?

During the last decade I have focused my interest in studying and understanding the connection between the soccer player decisions and his personality, trying to find comparable behavior patterns. In short, how you are on the court is a reflection of how you are outside it.

How would you react, for example, if you lose your job?

That reaction to adversity is probably the same one you could show when you lose an important game.

​

Is it hard for you to save money? Do you easily spend your savings?

Maybe there is a similarity to your game attitude and just as you easily get rid of your money, you also easily get rid of the ball in a match.

​

The observation through this analogy allows us to understand the strengths and weaknesses of our players, enabling us as a coaches to realize how the player behaves, thinks and feels, on and off the field.

​

It would be great to have a level of awareness of these similarities, as it could help us to improve the performance of the player, and how to try to influence and manage the team.
